LETTERS ONE BY ONE, UPSIDE DOWN

Dear P,

August 17, 2018
A Queen’s Anne’s Lace flower, it is drunk with dew, drunk of the rain of last night and yesterday, lollying on it’s fragile green stem. The dead marigolds are slimy at the end of their stems yet when I tried to snap one off, the roots started to come, so consolidated is the team carrying its unfurled young, brightly mature and withered.
