Dear Ruth,

I have definitely entered into the phase of my life where I am to take care of others, older, mostly, younger too. I was in Orange in Provence, on Friday morning, and a little boy, Alexander, who had just woken up, did not know me from the housecoat, 4 years old, but asked to climb into my lap for breakfast. I’m not sure there is much else that makes me happier. There is nothing to do but to be here.
